Free Paid Web Surveys: How it Works

Club Secretary

You really can get paid cash for filling out online surveys. And you might wonder why.

Each one is a market research company and rather than putting together teams of people to hit the streets asking opinions, it’s proven a lot faster and cheaper to put together panels of people to answer questions online. A company wishing to know the opinions of a group of people can have answers from over 1,000 people in a couple of days, with that data being instantly availble in spreadsheet form. Compare that the recruiting/training, sending out forms, getting people to stand in shopping malls asking passers by questions, then sending the forms back to head office to be entered into the database. NOW it makes sense doesn’t it!

So, if the idea of being paid to click your mouse buttons a few times a day appeals to you … read on.

Paid surveys might pay in cash, you might get paid vouchers, or points. Some companies operate on a system where your opinions buy you a draw ticket in their draw for cash prizes or more.

Of course there are no guarantees or promises as to how much money you can make. This will depend on your demographic, which is your age, sex, location, hobbies; it might be your employment status or whether you rent a home or own your own.

Some surveys are literally just “first come, first served”. Others target specific age groups, or locations.

You have to sign up for them all and see what happens. See how many surveys they send you to fill out.

How To Make the MOST Money From Free Paid Web Surveys

1] Sign up with ALL the companies you can find. One survey company alone won’t make you wealthy, but join 100, 200 … 300 … and your increasing your odds. If, say, every company sends you 1-3 paid surveys per month, worth £1, then you can see the difference between joining 2-3 or 300. Set yourself an achievable target of signing up for, say, 5 new ones each day over the next three months. After all, you’re looking for a good long-term easy income, so stick with it for the best results! This might look like a long task right now, but take our word for it, it DOES pay off. The more web surveys you are registered with, the more invites you’ll receive to participate in surveys, and that means more money for you.

2] Answer ALL the surveys they send you. Survey companies send out better and higher paying surveys the longer you’ve been with them. As people drop out, it pushes you closer to the top of the longevity file! It pays to be tenacious, patient and determined.

3] Answer them soonest - most survey companies will have quotas on total number of replies, or limits per age group or answer given…. so you need to get in and do them before somebody else fills their quota!

4] Be honest when you reply to the surveys. Companies aren’t looking for people who just respond that they do everything and everything’s great. They want a diverse pool of people, with varying opinions. There is no one group of people they are all looking for. One day a lot might seem to be looking for 20-40 year old car drivers, the next it might be people that have used shower gel in the last three months! So be yourself, be honest.

5] A few surveys companies don’t send out email invites for every survey, Pure Profile is a company who don’t send out many emails at all. Make sure you have a handy list of these ones and log into your account to see if you can pick up any Quick Poll, Mini Poll, or Short Surveys they have listed in there.

6] Many paid surveys companies will pay you extra to fill in your profile, so fill it in. The more complete your profile is with these companies, the more surveys they will send you for their clients that want to match a group of people exactly. Some surveys will literally go out to everybody, but many companies will only send you an email and invite to fill out a survey if your profile matches what their client wants.

Some paid surveys companies increase the number of surveys you receive based on how many you’ve filled out that they’ve sent you. So the more you fill in, the more invites they send you.

Some companies have a quota to meet, say the first 1000. Once the quota’s been reached the survey is closed. So get there before the others and you’ll be earning the money before them.

This is a great little “lunchtime job” if you’ve got internet access at work. You could, for example, spend your lunchbreak filling out surveys every day. After all, you’re probably not doing much else during that time - and over the course of a year you could be earning hundreds of pounds.

Some paid survey companies will sign you up, but you won’t get sent any paid survey invites for a while.

Some paid survey companies will send you paid survey invites, but within two or three questions, you are rejected for ‘not fitting the profile for this survey’.

Paid Survey Adverts

There are a number of paid survey sites around the Internet where you pay a membership. What you’re buying is a large list of survey companies that they’ve put together. You are paying for the hundreds and hundreds of hours that somebody else has spent pulling all the companies together! Which I think is quite fair to be honest. So long as you know that’s what you’re buying when you pay to join.

Most of these paid survey sites will be priced in US$ (usually US$30-$40); this is because the US$ is most widely known on the Internet and it saves people having to try to run currency converters and all the problems that might bring. Roughly speaking $2 is £1, so whenever I see a $value, I just halve it to see how much it is roughly.

I will be adding a section in here on these companies. In the meantime, if you’re interested in getting instant access to 200-400 survey companies, check out this site of handy links and overviews: http://www.real-work-at-home.co.uk/Best-Paid-Surveys/Memberships
